Now, this was against much worse competition, but I’m not sure St. John’s is worthy of laying points here. Rick Pitino has a group of transfers still getting used to playing together. Although they were able to take care of Stony Brook in their first game, the Red Storm had problems with turnovers and fouls against a team they’re much better than. There’s no doubt that Pitino was a huge upgrade for the program, but right now it’s the Wolverines who are playing the more balanced basketball on both ends of the floor.
