Detroit put the league on notice with their opening night upset over the defending Super Bowl champs. With extra time to prepare, Detroit remains a “bet on” team in week 2 against Seattle. Not only will the Lions be excited for their home opener, but they won’t overlook a Seahawks squad that has had their number in recent seasons. We know that Detroit will be able to score, and I expect regression out of Geno Smith in 2023. He certainly didn’t get off to a good start as Seattle lost 30-13 at home to a Rams team that most experts don’t expect much from. Jared Goff hasn’t thrown an interception in 359 straight attempts, so as long as the defense shows up we can expect Detroit to get the cover on Sunday. Take the Lions.
