At first glance you see a PAC 12 team vs a Mountain West Team and the Mountain West team is the favorite on the road the knee jerk reaction would be to grab the Pac 12 Home Dog. But if you dig deeper this Fresno St team is playing much better at this juncture of the season. Offensively Fresno St scored 39 at Purdue and 34 at Home against E. Washington. In that E. Washington game on the surface winning 34-31 as a 30 point favorite looks bad. The reality is that was a horrible scheduling spot for Fresno St as they were coming off a Road Upset against a Power 5 Conference team and then had another Power 5 team on deck this week. Fresno St got caught in the perfect sandwich spot. Arizona St has struggled in back to back games offensively scoring just 24 against S. Utah and then last week Oklahoma St held them to just 15 points. Fresno St QB Mikey Keene is 54/83 for 647 yards. He has a 6-1 TD/INT ratio. The Fresno St offense has been a balanced attack thru 2 games with 71 rushes and 84 pass attempts. Arizona St will improve as the season progresses but right now this is a team that is showing growing pains under 1st yr HC Kenny Dillingham. FRESNO ST  30-20
