While the Phillies have a relatively comfortable lead in the Wild Card race, it’s imperative that they continue to win with many teams battling it out in the NL. They won’t have much trouble against Miles Mikolas, who gave up 5 earned to the Reds in his last start. Mikolas also allowed 5 to the Phillies at the end of August in a 7-2 loss. He doesn’t miss many bats and strikeouts are few and far between, along with many other metrics that rank near the bottom of the league. Rangers Suarez hasn’t allowed more than 3 runs in 5 straight starts, and that’s about what we can expect out of him. Philly puts a winning streak together and takes game 2 of this series. Take the Phillies.
