The Jordan Love era is off to a flying start for the Packers. Love and the Packers went into Soldier Field and blew the doors off the Bears. Love had 245 passing yards with three TDs and no turnovers. The Packers' defense forced two turnovers, including a pick-six and four sacks, and held the Bears to 3-13 on third down. However, are the Packers really that good, or are the Bears that bad and made the Packers look elite? We think it's the latter. While we are high on GB, we do not think this offense is going to light up the league every week, especially with Aaron Jones and Christian Watson expected to miss this game. On the other hand, The Falcons hosted the Panthers, and they confirmed what they have been hinting at all summer - they are going to try to run the football unapologetically. Atlanta rushed 26 times to their 18 passing attempts, and they put up 130 yards on the ground compared to 115 passing yards thrown by Desmond Ridder. Their defense held Carolina to 281 total yards, forced three turnovers, and held the Panthers to 5-14 on third down. This leads us to believe the game script will be very run-oriented, and that means a ticking clock. Both teams are at the bottom in the NFL in pace, so expect a lot of running plays and minimal touchdowns scored.
