Chicago Cubs -126 J Steele (LHP) Must Start:
This is a critical game for both sides as the Arizona Diamondbacks sit only 2.5 games behind the Chicago Cubs. There aren't many starters in baseball that I'm more confident in right now than Justin Steele who has a stellar 16-3 record with a 2.49 ERA. He has been nearly unhittable recently with a 0.43 ERA in his last three starts. Current Arizona hitters bat only .196 (10-51) against Steele with no home runs. Steele will be opposed by Brandon Pfaadt who has an ERA north of 6.00 and he has been horrendous at home with a 1-4 record, 7.30 ERA and 1.72 WHIP across nine starts. Meanwhile the Diamondbacks rank 22nd in both wOBA & OPS against left-handed pitching since August 1st while the Cubs rank 11th in against righties in the same categories during the same time period. The Cubs even have a slight bullpen edge when it comes to ERA and home runs allowed. I will gladly take a -126 money line in a game where we have tremendous advantages across the board.
