(4%) TORONTO. Off yesterday's 10-0 loss, the Jays will bounce back today. Gausman has been solid all season long and is showing no slgns of slowing down. Last time out, he struck out 10 through eight complete innings. He gave up only one run on just two hits. Still working his way back, this will be Eovaldi's third start since returning to the rotation. He's gone less than four combined innings in those first two starts, 1 ⅓ innings and 2 ⅓. Last time the Jays saw Eovadi, who was pitching for the Red Sox at the time, they pounded him for nine runs in just 2 ⅔ innings. Gausman happened to also be on the mound for that 28-5 destruction. (It was a Toronto record for most runs and the most allowed by Boston.) While that was at “home,” Eovaldi is also 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA in four road appearances vs. the Jays. Expect Gausman to outlast Eovaldi and the Jays to bounce back. *Reduce to 3% if higher than -160
