(4%) UNDER jays/rangers. In a big game for both their teams, I expect these veteran starters to elevate their game. Scherzer has been dominant in each of his past two road starts. In 14 combined innings, he allowed three runs, on only seven hits while striking out 16. Prior to a tough outing at Houston last time out, he'd allowed only 10 combined earned runs in his previous seven starts. (While its true that Scherzer talked about forearm tightness after his last start, he said he had the same thing in his previous start against Minnesota and he allowed only one hit through six shutout innings in that one.) Ryu doesn't necessarily go deep into games but he's got a very solid 2.65 ERA and 1.069 WHIP through seven starts. He's allowed two earned runs or less in six straight starts (6 total runs in those six games) and in 10 of his last 11, since last season. Look for runs to be at a premium and the final combined score to stay beneath the total. *Good at 8 or better.
