I went into detail on this one on WagerTalk First Pitch and you can find the replay to the show below:
First Pitch (Monday): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irKKTJ0zj50
The Jays had a very easy start to September but took care of business against the “bad” teams and now come in winners of 6 of 7 and fresh off a sweep of the Royals. Chris Bassitt has been lights out of late and the Jays should have a nice bullpen edge here which gets bigger with the return of Erik Swanson from the IL.
Rangers starting pitching has been horrific which means the bullpen has had to pick up the slack and will need to do so again here. I don't think Dane Dunning is as bad as his recent numbers would suggest (a ridiculous 19 earned runs in his last 18.1 innings pitched) but I also don't think he fires a gem either and if this gets into the respective bullpens it's no doubt advantage Blue Jays.
Two teams going in opposite directions, I think the Jays stay hot in their pursuit of a playoff spot and grab another needed win here. Play on Blue Jays -130 for 4% (or 4 units)
