3% Take the New York Jets (#482)
The Jets went 1-1 SU, 2-0 ATS against Buffalo last year, holding the Bills to 20 and 17 points in the two meetings (just 232 and 317 total yards). No surprise here if the stout Jets defense contains Buffalo offensively once again here. The Bills did not have a good preseason – the offensive line struggled to protect, the receiving corps depth was clearly limited and Josh Allen didn’t look comfortable in limited duty. And, after winning 10+ games and making the playoffs in each of the last four years, this bettor is concerned that the Bills window of championship opportunity has come and gone; an aging team.
If you read any Aaron Rodgers quotes this August, you already know that this future Hall of Famer has been revitalized in New York. “There’s a lot of excitement, for good reason.” The Jets have a Super Bowl caliber defense, loaded with playmakers – not just Sauce Gardner. Robert Saleh’s defense is ‘bet-on’ all the way. They’ve got playmakers on the outside, solid skill position depth. And now they’ve got a QB who can get them to the promised land. The hype is warranted, in this bettor’s opinion, and the Jets are ‘live’ dogs here. I’ll take the points, not the moneyline, juuuuuust in case. Take the Jets.
Line Parameter: 3% at +1 or better, 2% at pk or if the Jets become favored.
