The 49ers get a lot of press in regard to being one of the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but very little is said about the Steelers. So, to the average bettor, it probably looks like a gift to get the 49ers laying less than a FG here. I'm not biting.
The Steelers improved their offensive line and QB Kenny Pickett had a very good preseason. A healthy TJ Watt gives Pittsburgh an elite defense.
49ers QB Brock Purdy is coming back from a serious elbow injury, and he could've drawn a much easier first assignment than this Pittsburgh D.
The Steelers are 6-1-1 ATS as home dogs since 2018, while the 49ers are 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a non-division road favorite.
