Carlos Ulberg (-290) vs Da Woon Jung:
UFC higher up's must love Carlos Ulberg as they continue presenting him with highly favorable match up's. Currently 5-1 in the UFC (including DWCS win) Carlos has looked the part of a rising prospect with elite level kickboxing. After knocking out Nicolae Negumereanu in round 1, whom at the time was 13-1 as an MMA pro. Nicolae is very durable yet Ulberg pieced him up getting the early stoppage. After that UFC gave him Ihor Potieria whom a fight prior got knocked out by… yup you guessed it Nicolae Negumerenu. Even after another highlight finish the UFC once again pair Ulberg up with another favorable match up in Da Woon Jung. Jung is coming off back to back terrible showings, getting knocked out in round 1 against Dustin Jacoby and losing 30-27 against Devin Clark. Let's face it… Clark is at best a gate keeper. Ulberg is far more explosive with better footwork and athleticism. Slick counters backed by power and a snapping kicking arsenal. Feels like another set up spot for Ulberg and a strong parlay piece. If you're seeking method of victory angle I like Ulberg via KO (-134).
Manel Kape (-430) vs Felipe dos Santos:
Not much to say on this fight that isn't already baked into the price. Dos Santos is taking this fight on short notice in his UFC debut against probably the next title challenger in Manel Kape. With high level kick boxing, distance management and power Kape has the tools to dominate this fight. Felipe is a Chute Boxe guy and thier style is more aggressive marching the opposition down with strikes. This can overwhelm certain fighters which the style intends, but Kape's incredibly skilled on the feet with top notch countering ability and angling to his combinations. It's the key to causing damage on Dos Santos whom will be open for counters. If need be Manel can level change finding control time of ground and pound. In some regional fights Felipe is easily taken down yet lesser opponents didn't capitalize. Think Kape can win the fight wherever he wants and think is comes early.
