Chicago's Kyle Hendricks will return to the mound for the first time since July 5 following a tear in his throwing shoulder. He's reportedly feeling much better and even has more velocity on his fastball, but it will be a challenge to excel against big league hitters for the first time in over 10 months. He'll presumably be on a pitch count, too, which means the Cubs bullpen will be in the mix. New York's Carlos Carrasco can't really be trusted either. He allowed five runs in five innings against the light-hitting Guardians in his return from elbow inflammation that cost him over a month of action. Even with the wind expected to be blowing in, we'll ride the over on 8 runs as the Mets look to avoid the broom treatment at Wrigley.
