Our selection is on the Boston Red Sox for the First half
The Red Sox have struggled at the plate the last two games scoring only 1 run. Well they might get just what the doctor ordered in facing Griffin Canning. The LA starter has struggled this season and in his last 3 starts he is sporting a nasty 8.36 ERA. He does not show he will get back on track anytime soon. One advantage is that Canning does strike out a lot of batters. However, the Red Sox are one of the best in the majors in not striking out. We like that and see the Red Sox scoring early and often. As for Bello, he has a score to settle with the Angels as in his first game of the season he lasted 2 2/ 3 RD innings as the Angels pounded him for 5 runs. Since the calendar has turned to May Bello has been very good. He is sporting a 2.81 ERA in his last 3 starts and we will look for him to get the job done early tonight. The fact that Bello is 3-0 in night starts this season just solidifies our selection.
