Brayan Bello is a pitcher that’s flying somewhat under the radar in the betting marketplace. Bello has a lot of upside with an elite 61.9% ground ball rate and high-velocity fastball. He can get into trouble with command at times, but Bello hasn’t given up more than 3 earned in any of his past 5 starts, all Boston victories. Griffin Canning has been unimpressive after giving up 13 earned in his past 3 outings. Canning isn’t much of a strikeout threat and most of his analytics are far below the league average. The Red Sox have fantastic numbers in terms of wOBA against righties, and Canning is the type of pitcher they can knock around. Expect a strong start from Bello and this Boston offense to take care of the rest. Take the Red Sox.
