Altuve. Bregman. Alvarez. For the first time this season, the Astros are whole. Jose Altuve will make his season debut tonight, and you can't really ask for a better situation. The Astros will be hosting the A's and Ken Waldichuk, who brings a 7.02 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP into tonight's contest. Waldichuk has walked 3+ batters in five of his eight starts. He's given up 12 home runs in 41 innings pitched. His numbers are even worse on the road this season where he has an ERA of 9.15 with a 1.93 WHIP in four starts away from Oakland. He's only gotten through six innings once this season, so there's a good chance that we'll see 3+ innings of Oakland's bullpen. On the other side, Brandon Bielak has a way to go before he can be compared to his rotation partners in Houston. Between three MLB appearances and five minor league appearances, he hasn't gone past 5.0 innings. He's allowed a home run in all three of his MLB appearances. Over Oakland's last 13 games, the A's are averaging 4.15 runs per game. If they can hit that mark and get us four runs, we like our chances that Houston will do their share to get us over this number.
