We made this same bet at this same price in Oviedo's last start, and we're comfortable going back to the well here. Oviedo went on a nice run in mid-April, but hitters have started to figure some things out over the last couple weeks. Oviedo has only gone over this number three times this season, and he has not had a five-strikeout day since April 19th. He's in the 22nd percentile among pitchers in strikeout rate this season and 20th percentile in chase rate. Hitters have really been seeing his pitches well over the last month and he's going to be facing an Arizona lineup that has been hitting very well this season. Arizona's lineup is hitting .270 against right-hand pitching this season (No. 3 in MLB) with a .337 on-base percentage (No. 4) and a 112 wRC+ (No. 6). The Diamondbacks have the fewest swing-and-misses in baseball. Arizona has the league's best strikeout rate against right-hand pitching, and they are fourth in strikeout rate on the road.
