2% #537/538 Miami Heat & Boston Celtics OVER 215.5 —
What has been so impressive about Miami to me in this postseason is how they have matched the play of their opponents on an impressive level. Their offense really stepped up against Milwaukee, when Milwaukee was putting up 115+ PPG in the series, and then their defense stepped up against a Knicks team that was reliant on their defense in the series.
They did the same thing in game 1 of the series and matched Boston’s impressive offensive prowess putting up over 120 points. If they are going to be competitive again tonight, they are going to have to score.
Miami is 11-3 OU this season on the road vs. teams attempting 39+ 3’s on average, they are allowing those opponents to score nearly 119 PPG, but still managing to score over 113 themselves. While Boston is 22-6-1 OU this season @ H when the total is 227 or lower!! The Celtics are averaging 120 PPG themselves in those games, but allowing over 110.
Plus, when you look at these two teams compared directly, both of them have trended OVER in the playoffs, going 9-5 in their 14 games. Not to mention an 8-2 OU record between these two teams at TD Garden Center in the last 3 years!
