4% Take the LA Lakers (#535)
The Lakers lost Game 1 in Denver; falling behind early but making a strong second half run – they made adjustments as the game went on, switching from a smaller lineup to a bigger one that worked much better on both ends of the floor. LA has had four previous losses here in the playoffs. They bounced back with a victory every time, winning by 10, 40, 30 and 21 points – all comfortable double digit victories. In fact, since just before the All Star Break, the Lakers are a remarkable 12-1 SU and 11-1-1 ATS coming off a loss; an Under-the-Radar angle worth riding again tonight.
In their only set of back-2-back losses during that entire span – since February -- the Lakers second loss came by a single point, playing without Lebron. Each and every victory during that span came by six points or more. Plain and simple – I want my $$ on the Lake-show off a loss; a team that is playing at a much higher level now than they did at any point during the regular season. Much like Game 1, if the Nuggets win, I’m not expecting it to come by much of a margin, and I wouldn’t try to talk anyone out of putting a portion of your wager on the Lakers moneyline; a game they’re live to win in SU fashion. Too many points! Take the Lakers
