Good spot for the Red Sox to pick up a win before an off day Thursday as they wrap up their series with the Mariners at home. Significant offensive advantage for Boston despite their recent skid, as they rank 3rd in baseball in OPS, with Seattle coming in at 25th in the same category. Marco Gonzalez should have a tough time at Fenway. Gonzalez pitches to contact with very few strikeouts and not a ton of ground balls. His velo is very low and he has a terrible spin rate as well, the type of pitcher this Boston lineup should be able to tee off on. Brayan Bello is off back to back 2 ER outings and has a ground ball rate of 62.5% on the season. He’ll be able to keep this subpar Seattle lineup in check and Boston’s offense will take care of the rest. Take the Red Sox.
