Significant starting pitching advantage with Corbin Burnes and Adam Wainwright getting set to square off in Wednesday’s series finale. Burnes has had some command issues, but everything else screams “bet on” pitcher. He uses an effective cutter over 50% of the time to keep teams from getting barrels and his spin rate is excellent. Even with the walks, Burnes hasn’t given up more than 2 earned runs in any of his past 6 starts. Then we have Adam Wainwright, who is clearly at the tail end of his career. He’s given up 4 earned in each of his 2 starts this season with velocity that’s about as low as it gets. Milwaukee is much better against right handed pitching and I’ll recommend a play on them Wednesday evening. Take the Brewers.
