Here's another spot we're parlaying two strong plays for plus money!!
Anthony Hernandez (-240) vs Edmen Shahbazyan:
Coming into the UFC Edmen had massive hype behind him with Ronda Rousey in his corner. Flashy high level striking with finishing ability… but one large red flag… his horrible grappling skills. Once Derek Brunson exposed Edmen's inability getting back to his feet as well as making many mistakes once taken down. Brunson along with Edmen's next two opponents took him down and beat him senseless. Both Brunson and Nassourdine Imavov KO'ed Shahbazyan and Jack Hermansson won controlling the grappling on his way to a decision victory. Edmen now on a 1-3 skid since being undefeated and it's a clear vulnerability that Anthony Hernandez will absolutely target from opening bell. While Anthony has looked incredible in all grappling situations with slick transitions, top notch reversals and always hunting submissions. This relentlessness attacking of submissions is a spot Edmen will fold under pressure and most likely make mistakes. Add in the fact that Hernandez also has insane cardio and will push the pace on Edmen who's wilted under heavy grappling attacks. In this particular spot the Apex cage should assist Anthony in cutting distance while Edmen seeks space with back up against fence. Prefect landscape for level changes. Think Hernandez is live here for a sub finish.
Joaquin Buckley (-190) vs Andre Fialho:
Finally Buckley is moving to 170 pounds, a division I always thought he'd find success. His size, frame and explosiveness should give him an edge Saturday night. Andre has power but he relies on it completely overthrowing shots leaving himself out of place to be countered. Fighters with more technical skills on the feet give Andre problems and Buckley just has far more weapons in his arsenal. The boxing approach of Fialho leaves himself heavy on his feet digging in to throw power shots, this is a spot Buckley can utilize his explosiveness chopping at the legs with snapping kicks and multiple shot combinations. Fialho's very hitable with a willingness to phone booth fight hoping to land the big shot. I don't believe Buckely's going to entertain a toe to toe wild slugfest although he has the fire power to do it. Andre one dimensional but he's very low volume striking output allows opponents to dictate the pace of the fight. I believe Joaquin will out pace Andre in all areas and could see a 2nd or 3rd round KO finish as he'll be there to be hit and Buckely's quicker to the draw with better cardio.
