Kansas handled business against Howard in the first round, but you have to wonder if Bill Self's absence will be felt in this matchup. Three Kansas starters played 32+ minutes in a 28-point opening round win. The Bison and Jayhawks played a 76-possession game, which is the fastest Kansas has played in a game since late January. Why three starters put that that many miles in against Howard is a little bit of a mystery, especially now that they have to get their track shoes on against Arkansas. Similar to Penn State's feelings, Arkansas should be encouraged by how well it played against Illinois considering how much Nick Smith struggled. The freshman superstar only scored six points on 2-for-10 shooting, which is by far his lowest output since he returned to the starting lineup in mid-February. Coach Musselman has the pieces to make this difficult for the No. 1 seed.
