Tip your cap to Louisiana for a fantastic season in the Sun Belt, but the Ragin Cajuns drew a tough first round matchup against one of the best defensive teams in the country. Bob Marlin's team built a fortress at the Cajundome in Lafayette, but they struggled away from home, particularly on offense. All seven of Louisiana's losses came on the road. Over their last seven road and neutral site games, the Sun Belt's best offense only scored 66.6 points per game. That's concerning because the defense that they are going to see on Thursday night will be a lot better than the ones they saw in the Sun Belt. At 6-11, junior forward Jordan Brown towers over most of the competition in that league. He will have plenty of orange-clad company in the paint in this one. In the only compatible game against top-tier competition, Brown turned the ball over five times in a 28-point loss to Texas. Rick Barnes is still searching for answers on the offensive side as Tennessee has battled injuries through out the second half of the year. Josiah-Jordan James has returned to the starting lineup, but he missed 12 games during the regular season. Starting point guard Zakai Zeigler is out with a knee injury. Neither team shoots the ball well from the foul line, particularly Louisiana at 67.2-percent (No. 321 in the country). Don't expect an up-and-down track meet in this one.
