Two strong parlay pieces at nice plus money odds…
Rafael Fiziev (-225) vs Justin Gaethje:
If you ranked every UFC fighter by pure striking ability, …Rafael Fiziev's near the top of that list. While we all know Justin Gaethje's an absolute animal with power and off the charts durability. Weaponizing his granite chin walking opponents down taking heavy shots to provide his own punishment in return. It's been a winning formula but there's obvious vulnerabilities Fiziev can expose. First being the looping hooks Justin will undoubtably throw. This should present a landscape where Fiziev can steer clear of danger and counter with speed and accuracy. His high level striking defense is also a tool to equipped himself with when going toe to toe. Very calculated in the pocket faking and fainting drawing actions out of his opponents. Yes, Justin has striking but their ability on the feet is fairly wide. Don't think leg kicks followed up by haymakers will surprise Fiziev at all. With no worry of takedowns he'll freely work angles to his combinations finding opportunities to land. Also Justin leaves himself wide open when forcing the action while Fiziev's far more technical on the feet never just targeting one part of the body. Always mixing it up with versatile striking and pinpoint accuracy reading his opponents as fight goes on. The type of opponent that could cause Fiziev problems is more a smothering pressure fighter whom won't allow space for Rafael's kickboxing. With that said, it should be a glorified kickboxing match which HIGHLY favors Fiziev's insane arsenal of weapons on the feet.
Christian Leroy Duncan (-190) vs Dusko Todorovic:
Duncan isn't your normal 7-0 fighter making his UFC debut. Prior to going pro Duncan had 23 amature fights gaining a wealth of cage experience against some tough competition. He's a big guy for the division who's athletic, explosive, smoothly switching stances and dynamic on feet with power. Continues displaying elevation each fight with ability to find finishes. Now on the other side is Dusko Todorovic whom I'd say is a below average fighter with multiple holes in his game. One red flag is how Dusko pulls head back with hands down leaving head on center line when defending against strikes. It's something he's done time and time again without ever making the proper adjustments. It's a spot where Duncan can capitalize whenever in striking exchanges. Once that doesn't pan out for Dusko he'll seek to level change. I do believe Dusko will be shooting for takedowns trying to nullify the explosiveness in an attempt to dictate the pace of the fight. But… trying to hold down someone down extensively over 3 rounds is difficult and Dusko's shown to slow down as fight wears on. This should allow Duncan to create space scrambling back to his feet. Don't think Todorovic has the skill set and cardio to work that strategy all fight. Stays on feet Duncan works him at range and could see a 2nd or 3rd round KO incoming. Either way, it's a strong 2nd parlay piece.
