If you are getting in late I like FAU at any underdog price and would probably take this all the way down to a pick.

Both of these teams are hot but I think Memphis is getting more respect because they knocked off Houston (who didn't have Marcus Sasser and seemed not to care) and, thus, are favored here.

Florida Atlantic is a GREAT basketball team, the Owls have a win over Florida including beating every capable team in Conference USA and I just don't buy that Memphis is a bigger challenge.  

FAU is experienced and there's also 5-6 guys that can be “the guy” on any given day for the Owls.  FAU takes good shots, they make those shots at a high percentage and Florida Atlantic also knocks down their threes which can be the key to beating this Memphis team.  

FAU can key in on Kendric Davis, stopping him is easier said than done but it's typically Davis or Deandre Williams for Memphis and if the Owls can stop one of them they will have a great chance to win this game.  

I'll also take FAU coach Dusty May any day over Penny Hardaway.  I've never been a big Hardaway guy as far as in game coaching is concerned so I give May the edge by default here (May is also proving to be potentially an elite coach).
