North Carolina's offense has enjoyed success against the Syracuse zone recently. The Tar Heels have scored an average of 74.7 points per game in their last three against the Orange. Armando Bacot and Pete Nance form a zone-busting interior that can find the open spots and pass out to open shooters, when necessary. Bacot has scored 20+ in back-to-back games while junior guard RJ Davis hit for 26 in the Saturday win over NC State. We were on the over in that game against the Wolfpack and fell just short, mainly because Carolina shot 22.2-percent from three-point range. A more "average" effort here in this one should get us over the total. You don't say this about many Syracuse teams, but if North Carolina wants to run, the Orange look like a willing dance partner. The over has cashed in eight-straight games for Syracuse and 11 of their last 12. Senior guard Joseph Girard III has scored 20+ in five of his last seven games, including 28 against Georgia Tech. Freshman point guard Judah Mintz (14.9 points and 4.5 assists per game) has helped trigger the offensive resurgence.
