Finn's DKs 4-Pick Hoops Power Parlay I Outline
Leg 1: (533) TimberWolves -205
The spread in this matchup tonight, with or without Gobert, screams value on the Rockets, but there is no two-hour period in any day or night, yesterday, today, or tomorrow, that justifies sweating the Rockets through an entire game while receiving less than a double-digit handicap. The Rockets are 1-18 against the number in their last 19 games and until they begin to show live for 40 or more minutes in any one given game they are a fade, a kick to the curb or a complete ignore when they are scheduled to perform.
Leg 2: (540) Blazers -365
The Blazers were an embarrassment last night throwing away a nearly 30-point halftime lead to not only lose but to do so by double-digits against the visiting Lakers. Like the Lakers last night the lack of quality big in the middle of the defensive scheme presents an opportunity for the Blazers to attack the rim and garner a lead they can milk, the same opportunity that Portland took advantage of last night without the help of Nurkic. And do so without the threat of a King James scoring 37 points and leading the opposition to a come-from-behind outright victory as a touchdown dog.
Leg 3: (871) Jayhawks +110
The performance that Kansas executed on Saturday vs TCU was as much about the veteran-laden Frogs as it was about the Jayahawks young guns. Baylor is a shell of who they have been the last two seasons. I am not suggesting or even stating, but rather offering what my eye test and the stat-sheet says about the Bears and what they are capable of when playing an elite as the Hawks.
The Bears can score but they have faced squads that do not challenge the three-line like that of Self's troupe and they have shot above and beyond their skillset. The Bears figure to get their share of the points tonight but in the end the depth and the shooting touch of players such as Dickey, find the Hawks running away and hiding in the final five minutes of tonight's game.
Leg 4: (874) Nevada Wolf Pack -170
The Lobos are coming off an exhausting victory on Friday night against the defensively elite Boise Broncs. The win was glorious, taking overtime to grab the win when the Smurfs should have been finished off in regulation.
If you have the opportunity to watch this game tonight you will find the now-head coach of the Wolf Pack, who was the bench boss for the Lobos at one point in his coaching career, make New Mexico's player personnel play defense for 20-plus seconds of the shot clock more often than not in the first 20 minutes with the hopes of wearing the visitors down … and eventually out.
