Karen Khachanov and Sebastian Korda meet in a featured Quarterfinal matchup at the Australian Open as both men are looking to break through toward their first major final appearance. Both men have played some powerful tennis and match up relatively evenly on the hardcourt in their current form. Khachanov is coming off a dominating performance against nishikoa that saw him win two sets to love. Korda is coming off the most gruelling match of his very young career as he came out the other side a victor against Hubert Hurkacz in a 5th set super tiebreak win. Korda is a slight favourite over Khachanov in what;’s a truly 50/50 matchup. I have a hard time imagining either player separating themselves in this match. I turn to the total and look to the over it. While 40.5 is a high number, it’s entirely justified by this match outlook as I see both men winning sets and tiebreaks in play. Love the over.
