BIG MONDAY TOP of the TICKET TOTAL - The Jayhawks and Bears Total Over 148.5 (-108) over-under position in Waco tonight is good to 150 points
2% game rating
The Baylor Bears and Kansas Jayhawks, the last two College Basketball National Champions, are in Waco for the first of two conferences 2022-23 tilts. Save for the sneaky two-point victory over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday has been on an offensive heater as of late. The Jayhawks are coming off their second-worst loss at the Phog in Bill Self's regime at Kansas.
Baylor checks in for this ESPN Big Monday event as the No. 2 ranked Division I program in adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom. They are scoring from every inch of the hardwood, be it in transition or their half-court offense. The Bears have a history under head coach Scott Homer Drew of being pesky on the offensive glass creating second-chance points off their own missed shots and this team is no different than prior squads.
Baylor's shot selection this season finds Drew's crew taking nearly half of their shots from beyond the 3-line (44.9% of their field goal attempts) and connecting on 36.2 percent of the team takes. Self has verbally chastised his team for not playing fast enough this season and it is extremely probable that he will receive what he has asked for as the Bears' adjusted temp of 67.9 isn't a true representation of how this troupe actually plays to. Expect and up an back fast-paced contest tonight in a 9 pm ET tipoff and late feature on ESPN's Big Monday.
