Boston ran its winning streak to nine with a narrow 106-104 victory as a 3.5-point favorite at Toronto on Saturday, but the Celtics have bled their backers’ bankrolls since early December, covering just seven of their last 20 games. Conversely, Orlando has covered 16 of its last 22 (14-7 “over” last 21 Magic games as well), as Franz Wagner has been scoring 22 points per game and shooting 49-percent from the floor (41-percent on treys). Rookie PF Paolo Banchero is at 20 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in that span. The Magic played through the suspensions arising from the rumble in Detroit and Markelle Fultz has chipped in with some solid production of late. Wendell Carter Jr. and Bol Bol have combined to form a nice pairing on the interior. The Magic have covered the spread in each of the first three against the Celtics this season and own a 13-6 record against the spread at home. Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brodgon are out while Robert WIlliams III is questionable.
