Milwaukee continued its less-than-optimal downward drift with a loss at Cleveland that brought the Bucks to 4-4 in their last eight games and 7-9 straight-up since December 22, during which time they are 27th in turnover percentage, 25th in the league in net efficiency differential and 28th in offensive efficiency and total shooting percentage. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his sixth game in that stretch and fifth straight, explaining a good deal of the problem. If there’s a team Milwaukee can get well against, it should be Detroit, as the Bucks are 19-1 straight-up and are 7-1 against the pointspread in their last eight visits to Little Caesar’s Arena. Milwaukee is 21-12 against the number as a favorite this season. The Pistons have dropped six of their last seven and 15 of their last 21 against the pointspread, the latest setback coming in Paris against Chicago Jan. 19. Even without the Greek Freak, the Bucks should snap out of their funk at least for a night facing this lottery-bound Piston team that’s rolled over and played dead mostly against Milwaukee.
