This is Chicago’s first contest since its 126-108 victory in Paris against Detroit four days ago, but don’t expect Bulls to be jet-lagged or particularly fatigued, as that was the Bulls’ only game in the last week due to days off before and after. Chicago has covered five of the last six against Atlanta, including both prior meetings this season, and the Bulls have won and covered four of their last five chances hosting the Hawks dating to the 2019-20 season. Atlanta just had its five-game winning streak ended with a 122-118 home loss against Charlotte, and has covered just nine of its last 22 away from State Farm Arena. Tough-rebounding Chicago ranks fifth in the league in defensive rebounding, while Atlanta is 27th in total rebound percentage. Hawks' guard Trae Young has scored 26.5 points per game against the Bulls, but has only made 33-percent of his shots, and he might not have the cover of Bogdan Bogdanovic (second-leading scorer at 20.5 points per game for the Hawks against Chicago this season), who has missed several games lately managing his gimpy knee and might not be available. Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan (31 points per game on 50-percent shooting with 9.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists vs. Atlanta) and Zach LaVine (21.5 points per game with 53-percent shooting in series) have been more efficient.
