Wofford deserves a ton of credit for how well they've performed up to this point in the season. The Terriers had plenty of roster turnover entering this season, then head coach Jay McAuley left the team in December. Former South Florida transfer BJ Mack (15.3 points per game) continues to provide a presence, while freshman bombardier Jackson Paveletzke (13.6 points per game) has been the designated dagger-thrower, hitting a cool 40-percent beyond the arc. But this is a case of a team that's still putting some pieces together and figuring things out, going against a well-oiled machine. Bob Richey’s bunch loves to go uptempo behind its familiar core featuring electric fifth-year senior guard Mike Bothwell (19.7 points per game), who has plenty of experience playing alongside second-leading scorer Jalen Slawson (15.2 points per game, in his fifth season with Bothwell) and junior guard Marcus Foster (11.6 points per game, in third year with Bothwell & Slawson). The Paladins have already gone on the conference trail to beat ETSU, Mercer and Chattanooga without much trouble.
