3% Take Miami (#533)
I want the Heat off a loss. Since their last losing streak ended (back in November), Miami is 7-2 SU off a loss, and they’ve covered the spread in each of their last four tries following a defeat. There’s urgency for the Heat right now; finally getting healthier. Even though Kyle Lowry will miss tonight, they got Tyler Herro and Caleb Martin back in their last game at Atlanta on MLK Day. Undisputed team leader Jimmy Butler: “It’s only going to get better. We want (our guys) to catch a rhythm. We want them to be healthy and comfortable. We need those guys out there.”
While Miami is hungry and healthier, injuries continue to plague the Pelicans. They’re missing three of their four best players right now, without Zion, Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones. Since New Year’s Eve, the short handed Pelicans are 3-6 SU, beating only bottom feeders Detroit, Houston and Washington. Center Jonas Valanciunas: “We’ve not ben lucky with injuries. We’re missing really important guys, missing our core. It’s been tough…” Expect it to be ‘tough’ for the Pelicans once again this evening. Take the Heat.
