Play on LOS ANGELES DODGERS -2.5 runs (+163) (a run-line play on the Blue Jays is good with juice up to +140)
The Dodgers are in San Fran for some ball on the Bay. Yesterday, my Dead Presidents Reported supported the furnace-hot Los Angeles Dodgers in San Francisco. The three positions in the Dead Presidents Report were all plus-money investments. The trio of positions was -1.5, -2, and -2.5 runs.

Play on LOS ANGELES DODGERS -2.5 runs +163 (this run-line play on the Dodgers is good with the juice at +130 or better)
2% confidence rating
List Pitchers: Kershaw and San Francisco Action
HP Umpire: Dan Bellino grades out as pitcher-friendly, but his metrics across his 380 home plate assignments are as close to neutral as a veteran umpire gets.
Weather: The forecast at Oracle Park is expected to be in the mid-60s with no precip. A win blowing between 5-10 mph is carrying flyballs to centerfield.
As poorly as the Giants are walking, talking, and playing baseball Kershaw and his mates should have moved 20-30 cents before the first pitch. The Dodgers and Kershaw didn't move overnight in this game, which is worthy of your attention.
The lack of a money move was a surprise. The money-line returned to the Giants, which is a red flag considering the matchup and nondiscript play of this San Fran roster dating back to before the ASG break.
Initially, or last night instead-but all, I considered making the Dodgers the Dead Presidents event today, a second straight. Still, the concern for me here was the Dodgers lineup and who skipper Dave Roberts would push to the lineup card.
Upon seeing the lineup card, I still believe in Kershaw, and I KNOW that Junis is an innings eater that has never been as good as he was early this season with a move from Kansas City to San Fran.
I KNOW, as well, that Junis isn't that dynamic. He doesn't miss eno gh bats and is automatic, surrendering between 4 and five runs every seven innings he pitches.
I entered this play last night as the first of the Dead Presidents Report with the Dodgers at -1.5, -2, and -2.5 runs. When there was no e rly movement on Kershaw and the Dodgers after their second straight win over the Giants and a 3-0 shutout last night, I decided that patience is always a virtue in this business. Unfortunately, as o mid-morning, the money never came in on Kershaw and Roberts' boys.
I liked the Dodgers in this matchup vs. the Giants. I liked them enough that the matchup between Kershaw and Junis qualified for a Dead Presidents event. However, combining variables had me back off the Dodgers as our top play today.
There were three matchups today, getaway and otherwise, that were DPR qualifiers, and the change from the Dodgers to a contest tonight didn't alter the initial feeling of just how many edges the Dodgers own. Nor did it make take the matchup ng a stand on the alternative run line and Kershaw unreasonable, not at plus money with a handicap that, all things equal, isn't just doable but expected by me. On the other hand, thematchup edges that LA has with Kershaw vs. Junis -- are stunningly significant.
I am riding the Dodgers in an alternative run-line of -2.5 with plus-money, and beginning the day with a victory in this west coast afternoon affair would be the start of a good weekend, long weekend.
Every day is Friday in my orbit so starting my weekends on your Thursday is something I am allowed to do. The rest of Thursday's card is to be posted in the next hour.
Good luck to us.
