We're taking the New York Red Bulls on Saturday afternoon to win and cover by margin in at home against Toronto FC.
Full Breakdown
Toronto FC came off a much needed win at the end of the May as they beat out the Chicago Fire in an electric back and forth game over at BMO Field.
However, ‘The Reds’ were extremely fortunate to get any type of result from that game as the Fire absolutely dominated them on offense, outshooting Toronto by a colossal 33-5 margin and owning a 95-26 dangerous attack advantage also.
In fact no team in the Eastern Conference has given up more goals this season than Toronto have as they average opposing offenses 1.93 goals per game on average. This gets even worse away from home where opponents bag 2.14 goals per game on average and Toronto also give up the most offensive shots out of any team in the MLS (East or West) and have the worst expected goals against average out of any team in the entire MLS as well.
The New York Red Bulls meanwhile own a woeful home record this season, winning just one of their seven games inside Red Bull Arena, but that win did come immediately before the break for them with a blowout victory over DC United and we expect a similar type of result for them in this one as well.
Only New York City FC and the Philadelphia Union have better overall goal differences than the New York Red Bulls this season over in the Eastern Conference and the Red Bulls also average the MLS' 5th best expected goal average as well.
