(31) Florida Panthers at (32) Washington Capitals: FLA Panthers: Team Total Goals over 3.5 (-130)
The Florida Panthers find themselves in a tough and shocking position here in game four as they now trail the Washington Capitals in the series 2-1. What has been confirmed to me throughout this series so far is that the Panthers will not have a successful game unless they are scoring goals in bunches, their defence just can't be trusted. The Panthers have a top five offence, #1 in goals per game, #1 in shots on goal per game, #5 on Power play percentage & #4 in shooting percentage, not to mention the depth they have throughout their lineup. Situations like these are why depth is so important, I expect a full effort out of the Panthers tonight, not just from one line. Between Barkov, Huberdeau & Duclair, followed by Verhaeghe, Bennet & Giroux, the Panthers should be able to find their offence and start to create offence in the Capitals zone.
Ilya Samsonov has played great for the Washington Capitals, but I don't expect him to be able to maintain what he's done; it's clear to me from what the coaching staff is preaching that the main message for Florida will be to fire shots from all angles, not be too picky, and get traffic in front of the net.
I've chosen the team total because frankly I'd like to take the Capitals out of the picture. I can't trust the Panthers defence, but I feel as if I can trust their offence to come to play tonight.
Play the TEAM TOTAL OVER 3.5 goals for the Panthers.
