Tampa Bay is enjoying the West Coast with five-straight wins over the A's and Mariners, and we think they'll keep the roll going on Saturday night. Manuel Margot delivered a three-run homer in the top of the ninth last night, and the Rays just keep doing what the Rays do...let everyone else grab the flashy headlines while they jump out to a 17-10 start.
We're going to focus on the first five in tonight's game because the Rays did have to dig pretty deep in their bullpen last night. Tampa Bay needed six pitchers to complete last night's game, and five of them threw 23+ pitches in their appearance. We're comfortable with the starting pitcher matchup between Drew Rasmussen and Marco Gonzales.
Tampa Bay is hitting .258 (No. 5 in MLB) against left-hand pitching with a .327 on-base percentage (No. 6). The Rays have enjoyed life on the road this season with the league's second-best batting average in road games. Rasmussen is a solid opener in the Rays' rotation. He brings a 3.13 ERA into today's contest (3.31 in his career) with a 0.87 WHIP. He doesn't allow many walks. He doesn't allow many runs. He doesn't allow many home runs. He gets the job done two times through the batting order then hands the ball to Kevin Cash.
At the time of posting, Rays first five is available at:
FanDuel -122 ML / +118 Runline
Pinnacle -138 ML / +107 Runline
MGM -135 ML / +105 Runline
DraftKings -140 ML / +105 Runline
Barstool -139 ML / +102 Runline
…Not sure how long that line at FanDuel is going to last, but obviously that's very appealing compared to others.
