We're taking Werder Bremen off the 1H line to stay competitive on Monday against Bayer Leverkusen.

    - The break in early March arguably couldn't have come at a better time for Werder Bremen, as the green and whites had the worst record across the month of February and were on a dismal run of being winless in six straight games. That created a lot of tension with the incredibly proud fan base of Bremen as WB have been one of the most successful clubs in the league's history. An atmosphere of no fans here might actually be beneficial to WB as they have a squad of immense talent but were severly lacking in confidence heading into the break.

    - The opposite is true of Leverkusen. The Westphalia club were on a five match unbeaten streak after handing out a 4-0 thrashing to Eintracht Frankfurt before the suspension of the season. That momentum came to a sharp halt however and it'll be interesting to see if 'The Company Men' can keep pressure up on the top four with another win here.

    - Bremen's last three league defeats at home saw them concede all their goals in the second half (1H 0, 2H 7). Conversely, all of Leverkusen's last three road games have seen them level at the half. Bremen have conceded a league-high 1.4 goals after 60 mins over their last five defeats and have been drawing at HT and losing at FT over their last three league home games. With highly influential forward Kevin Volland ruled out for Leverkusen, expect the green and white's to nullify a lot of Leverkusen's attacking threat early and enter the break all-square in this one.

Take Werder Bremen plus the half goal line in the first half for Monday.
