Amed Rosario had the walk-off single after hitting a homerun earlier in the contest. Both rosters could shaken up as the MLB Trade Deadline is set for 4:00 PM EST.<\/p>\n Two young and talented right handed starters will go head-to-head as Cleveland sends Triston McKenzie to the mound, while Zac Gallen gets the nod for Arizona. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST\/4:10 PST.<\/p>\n Guardians Inch Closer To Twins<\/h3>\nThe Cleveland Guardians inched closer to the American League Central leading Minnesota Twins with a dramatic 6-5 victory in the 11th inning. Amed Rosario was the hero with a walk-off single to go along with a two run blast in the 3rd inning.<\/p>\n Cal Quantrill had a so-so day with four runs allowed across six innings of work. At 53-49 the Cleveland Guardians currently sit only game behind the MinnesotaTwins for place in the American League Central as well as one game behind the Seattle Mariners for the final Wild Card spot.<\/p>\n Triston McKenzie will take the mound on Tuesday night for the Guardians. He gave up four runs in seven innings Thursday in a loss to the Boston Red Sox.<\/p>\n Despite the last outing, McKenzie has been brilliant in July with a 1.34 ERA on the month. He has put together a solid season with a 3.24 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 106\/30 K\/BB ratio across 114 innings of work.<\/p>\n Diamondbacks Deadline Seller’s<\/h3>\nThe Arizona Diamondbacks already parted ways with veteran outfielder David Peralta as he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.<\/p>\n Other moves may follow as the Arizona Diamondbacks are sellers in the upcoming Trade Deadline with a 45-57 record. They lost a heartbreaker in the bottom of the 11th as the Guardians beat them 6-5 in the 11th inning.<\/p>\n It was the definition of a bullpen game for the Arizona Diamondbacks as nine different pitchers were utilized. Zach Davies only threw two innings and allowed four runs in his first start since June 25th. Mark Melancon was the pitcher of record, making his record 3-10 on the season.<\/p>\n Christian Walker hit his 24th home run, going 2 for 5 with three RBI. The D-Bax statistics rank similar to their record as they are 20th in runs scored and 22nd in team ERA.<\/p>\n The veteran righty Zac Gallen is have an incredible season and is one of the more underrated starters in the league. He is 5-2 with a 3.24 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 105.2 innings pitched. He held the San Francisco Giants to two runs across five innings in his last outing.<\/p>\n |
