Qarabag FK vs Ferencvaros Analysis<\/h3>\n

Azerbaijani side Qarabag dusted off Polish champions Lech Poznan with ease in the Champions League first round, overcoming Poznan by an aggregate 5-2 margin after blowing them out 5-1 in Baku.<\/p>\n

That was then followed up by a much closer two-leg tie against Swiss champions FC Zurich in the second round, with Qarabag again needing home advantage to get over the line in that one.<\/p>\n

However, on Wednesday they face arguably their stiffest test to date against Hungarian champions Ferencvaros, a team that have qualified for a major European tournament in each of their last three seasons.<\/p>\n

This will be the team\u2019s first meeting in a European competition.<\/p>\n

Feast Or Famine For Ferencvaros<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been an emotional rollercoaster for Ferencvaros in Europe over recent seasons with the Hungarians drawing just one of their last sixteen Champions League games overall along with having seven wins and eight losses also.<\/p>\n

That means it’s either been feast or famine for Ferencvaros in Europe and that could well be the case here on Wednesday again with Ferencvaros seeing both teams scoring in six of their last seven Champions League road games as well.<\/p>\n

Rustiness Still A Factor For Qarabag<\/h3>\n

With the Azerbaijani Premier League not kicking off until this weekend, Qarabag\u2019s only competitive action since May has been those two recent Champions League ties against Lech Poznan and FC Zurich respectively.<\/p>\n

That rustiness has shown in their defensive lapses over recent games, with Qarabag unable to secure a single clean sheet over any of their previous six matchups.<\/p>\n

Qarabag FK vs Ferencvaros Prediction<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s extremely hard to dismiss home form ahead of this one and because of that, we like Qarabag -0.5 at +103 on Wednesday against Ferencvaros.<\/p>\n

Qarabag failed to win either of their recent road games in the Champions League, but at home they\u2019ve been incredibly strong, blowing out Lech Poznan and FC Zurich by a combined 8-3 scoreline, and haven\u2019t lost in Baku since February.<\/p>\n

Ferencvaros failed to win either of their recent Champions League first leg encounters against Tobol and Slovan Bratislava respectively and a 5,000km+ round trip to Baku is probably not an ideal staging point for an upset in this one.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re taking Qarabag to continue their impressive home form on Wednesday with an outright win against Ferencvaros in their Champions League qualifying third-round leg 1 matchup in Baku.<\/p>\n
