Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For August 2<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Salvador Perez (+180)<\/h2>\n

Salvador Perez has been running hot as of late with home runs in three of his last four games after returning from injury on July 29 after being out over a month.<\/p>\n

He was tied for the league lead in home runs last season with 48 so maybe the month off is exactly what Perez needed to round back into last season\u2019s form. He and the Royals go up against Lucas Giolito and the White Sox tonight in which Perez has had success against.<\/p>\n

Perez is 8-25 with three home runs and if you pair that with Giolito\u2019s struggles at home this season, it makes for a good play. He sports a 6.28 home ERA and has given up eight of 18 total home runs given up at home in 19 less innings.<\/p>\n

He allows righties to hit .326 off him along with 13 of 18 home runs given up, coming out to one home run given up every 17 at-bats to right handed hitters. Perez is +180 to hit a home run but other Royals hitters have solid splits against Giolito including Whit Merrifield (+600)<\/strong> and Hunter Dozier (+320)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Jurickson Profar (TBD)<\/h2>\n

One of the hottest hitters the Padres have currently is Jurickson Profar who has hit a home run in three straight games. They have a double header today against the Rockies in which Jose Urena will make the start tonight for the Rockies at 10:10pm ET.<\/p>\n

He was shelled for seven earned runs in three innings in his last start against the Dodgers. Seven of his 12 home runs have come at home in 26 less at-bats.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s more comfortable batting from the left side of the plate as he\u2019s hit 10 of his 12 home runs off righties and has a .256 average against right handers opposed to .232 average against lefties. In the last 15 days Profar has a .316 average.<\/p>\n

Odds haven\u2019t been released on this game yet as it\u2019s the second game of the double header but a couple other Padres hitters to consider hitting a home run are Jake Cronenworth<\/strong> and Eric Hosmer<\/strong> (if healthy).<\/p>\n
