Livingston vs Rangers Analysis<\/h3>\n

Rangers will look to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title they lost to arch-rivals Celtic last season, as they travel over to the Tony Macaroni Stadium to take on Livingston in the SPL league opener on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Rangers have added Liverpool\u2019s Ben Davies to the roster in the off-season but arguably lost out big with the departure of Calvin Bassey at left-back, a player who was instrumental in their run to the Europa League final last season, as he departed for Ajax in a 23 million Euro move earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Livingston has lost 13 of their last 14 head-to-head\u2019s against Rangers across all competitions with one draw, so will hope their fortunes change drastically ahead of this season\u2019s first meeting against the former champions.<\/p>\n

Rangers Look To Reclaim Domestic Title<\/h3>\n

While no one can say Rangers had a disappointing season last year by any stretch, winning the Scottish Cup and going on an incredibly impressive run in Europe which saw them go all the way to the Europa League final only to lose out on penalties against eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt, the fact they were unable to defend their domestic league title for even one season will certainly wrangle a few people at Ibrox in the lead up to this current campaign.<\/p>\n

With their green-and-white rivals beefing up in the off-season as well bringing in the likes of Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers from Benfica and Tottenham respectively, the books expect Rangers to fall short once again in the race for this years Scottish league title.<\/p>\n

Livingston Looks To Build On From 2021-22 Season<\/h3>\n

While last season wasn\u2019t a complete success for Livingston finishing up in the Relegation Group over the final five games of the season, there were enough bright moments last year to suggest Livingston are a club continuing to improve.<\/p>\n

Finishing top of the Relegation Group helped with that as they banked 11 points over those five games and Livingston also allowed the sixth-fewest shots at home in the entire league last year along with sixth-fewest goals from open play as well.<\/p>\n

Livingston vs Rangers\u00a0Prediction<\/h2>\n

With arch-rivals Celtic strengthening in the off-season and Rangers arguably getting a little weaker, it\u2019ll be imperative that the road team get a fast start here and ensure they kick-off the new season with a comprehensive victory.<\/p>\n

Because of that we like Rangers to win and cover here on the -1.25 handicap line on Saturday as they look to set a big marker ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n
