Brondby vs Pogon Szczecin Analysis<\/h3>\n

In what was an entertaining game last week between Polish side Pogon Szczecin and Danish outfit Brondby, both sides had chances to win the game outright with a massive 28 total goal attempts haul between the two sides, before the game eventually finished up 1-1 setting up a mouthwatering leg 2 over in Denmark on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Brondby defender Blas Riveros opened the scoring for the Danish side in leg 1 before Luka Zahovic struck back for the home side late on with an 85th-minute equalizer.<\/p>\n

Brondby goes into this game as the slight favorites to both win outright and progress from this tie, but with a handicap line set at +0.25 on the visitors, Pogon Szczecin are expected to make it another hard fought encounter here in the Europa Conference League.<\/p>\n

Pogon Szczecin Fell Just Short Last Year<\/h3>\n

Sitting in second position for most of last season engaged in a firm battle with eventual Polish Ekstraklasa champions Lech Poznan, Pogon Szczecin slipped away late finishing third overall in the table after going winless over their final three games of the season.<\/p>\n

However, a recent 2-1 loss at the weekend against Slask Wroclaw hasn\u2019t entered them into this new season with the same kind of momentum, however all eyes will no doubt be on this tie as Pogon Szczecin looks to qualify for their first European tournament since the discontinued 2005 Intertoto Cup.<\/p>\n

Brondby Fully Focused on Thursday\u2019s Game<\/h3>\n

Like Pogon Szczecin, Brondby was also caught ball watching at the weekend as they slipped to a disappointing 3-1 home defeat against table toppers FC Nordsjaelland over in Denmark.<\/p>\n

That wasn\u2019t a usual occurrence last year however as Brondby finished off the regular season (pre-Championship Playoff) with the league\u2019s best overall home record with 24 points banked from only 11 games and just one home loss all season, a run they\u2019ll no doubt be eager to continue here on Thursday as well.<\/p>\n

Brondby vs Pogon Szczecin Prediction<\/h3>\n

The under 2.5 goals is going off at around a -143 between Pogon Szczecin and Brondby and that\u2019s the way we\u2019re going to play this one over in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.<\/p>\n

While there were a lot of overall goal attempts last week between the two sides, not many of them actually penetrated dangerously and Brondby finished up with less than 50 total classified dangerous attacks in that first leg last week (for comparison they had almost double that number in their 3-1 home loss to FC Nordsjaelland at the weekend).<\/p>\n

With so much on the line in this one, this is sure to be a tight defensive game from both sides and Brondby have shown themselves to be very defensively sound at home going all the way back to last season, where they gave up just nine goals total in Brondby Stadion over the entire portion of the regular season.<\/p>\n
