Toronto Blue Jays vs St. Louis Cardinals Analysis<\/h2>\n

The St.Louis Cardinals will be hoping to salvage a split in a two game series with the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Wednesday night. The Blue Jays hammered the Cardinals 10-3 in a fourteen hit barrage on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Two crafty veterans go head-to-head as Adam Wainwright gets the nod for St. Louis and Kevin Gausman toes the rubber for Toronto. First pitch is slated for 7:07 PM EST\/4:07 PST.<\/p>\n

Cardinals Clipped in Toronto<\/h3>\n

The 51-46 St Louis Cardinals have fallen three games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central after losing 10-3 last night. Andre Pallante gave up three runs in only four innings and the bullpen was even worse as they allowed another seven runs across the final five innings.<\/p>\n

The watered-down Cards lineup lacked punch outside of Dylan Carlsons two run bomb. The Cardinals lineup will once again be without their top two sluggers as Paul Goldschmidt & Nolan Arenado miss this series due to their vaccination status.<\/p>\n

The offensive drop-off is amazing as these two players are head and shoulders above anyone else on the team. The 40 year-old workhorse Adam Wainwright gets the start for St. Louis on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Uncle Charlie is 6-8 on the season with a 3.40 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. He was crushed in his last outing against the Cincinnati Reds where he allowed seven runs on five hits in only 5.1 innings of work.<\/p>\n

Blue Jays Ground Cardinals<\/h3>\n

The Toronto Blue Jays took full advantage of a short-handed Cardinals team and brutalized them in a 10-3 assault. George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Alejandro Kirk all had home runs including a signature “Springer Slam”.<\/p>\n

Jose Berrios did his job and held St. Louis to three runs in 5.1 innings of work. The Jays are on a seven game winning streak that has pushed their record to 54-43 on the season. The offensive attack is one of the best in the game as they rank 3rd in both runs scored and OPS.<\/p>\n

Consistent is probably the best word to describe Kevin Gausman’s season with a 7-7 record and 3.00 ERA. He had a typical outing in his last start against the Boston Red Sox, where he allowed three runs in five innings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Toronto Blue Jays enter this game heavily favored with a -245 money line, while the St.Louis Cardinals sit at +205 with a total of 8.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays are firing on all cylinders on their current seven game winning streak, including five of their last six at home. Their bats are piping hot with 50 runs scored across their last four games.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Adam Wainwright has struggled on the road recently, allowing 15 runs in his last three away from St. Louis. On the other hand, Kevin Gausman has been lights out at Rogers Centre with only two runs allowed in his last three outings at home.<\/p>\n

I can’t overstate how much it hurts this Cardinals lineup to be without both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado. We cashed on the Toronto run line yesterday and we will look to run it back today.<\/p>\n
