3M Open Players to Avoid<\/h3>\n

From Andy Lang<\/a>: Cameron Champ<\/strong> – He’s the defending champ of this event, but he\u2019s missed the cut in five-straight events. He\u2019s 115th in greens in regulation, 181st in putting this year and 193rd around the green. He won this event last year, but he missed the cut here in 2019. He might grab your attention because he won this event last year, but that\u2019s not an indication of how good he\u2019s been this year.<\/p>\n

Hideki Matsuyama<\/strong> – I don\u2019t know why he\u2019s playing this tournament after being terrible at the Scottish Open and The Open Championship, but he\u2019s 127th in putting this season, and this is going to be a putting contest tournament. He also has big distractions as he\u2019s getting ready to receive the biggest LIV contract offer yet, I don\u2019t trust him and I don\u2019t think he\u2019s focused.<\/p>\n

Sahith Theegala<\/strong> – He\u2019s been good recently, and finished 34th last week, but he has to finish top-5 to return value this week, and I don\u2019t think he gets there. He missed the cut here in 2020, this is a tough travel week, and he\u2019s -0.05 strokes gained putting the last three month<\/p>\n

3M Open DraftKings Darlings<\/h3>\n

Brice Garnett<\/strong> ($6900) – His stats aren\u2019t great this year, but he finished 16th at the Barracuda last week and he loves playing here. He\u2019s finished 23rd, 26th and 16th in the three years playing here. He loves playing here, it\u2019s a terrible field so he should make the cut.<\/p>\n

Adam Svensson<\/strong> ($7600) – He\u2019s made the cut in seven-straight tournaments and he\u2019s played here once, in 2019, and he finished 15th. Very undervalued at this price.<\/p>\n

Nick Hardy<\/strong> ($8000) – Five made cuts in a row, three out of the last four tournaments he\u2019s finished 14th or better.<\/p>\n

Final Lineup: Brice Garnett, Adam Svensson, Nick Hardy, Adam Long, Maverick McNealy, Adam Hadwin<\/p>\n

3M Open Best Bet<\/h3>\n

Beau Hossler over Cameron Champ<\/p>\n

Champ is the defending “champ” of this event, but he\u2019s missed the cut in five-straight events. Beau Hossler has made the cut in five out of six tournaments and he\u2019s made the cut here two out of three years. He\u2019s sixth in Strokes Gained Putting on Tour this season, and that should be enough to get him the win over Champ.<\/p>\n
