With AC Milan lifting last year\u2019s Scudetto over in Serie A, will it be a case of repeat or regression for the \u2018Rossoneri\u2019 in 2022-23 as the books two main favorites of Inter Milan and Juventus look to wrest the title back from AC Milan ahead of this season. AC Milan Vastly Outperformed The Data Last Season<\/h3>\n

AC Milan vastly outperformed the data in Serie A last season with the league\u2019s biggest expected points to actual points differential, either positive or negative, at a colossal +13.18 difference, by far the highest gulf in the league.<\/p>\n

That likely means we see some regression from the \u2018Rossoneri\u2019 ahead of this season and with top player Franck Kessie gone to Barcelona also, the odds on offer for AC Milan to repeat their historic success of last season just aren\u2019t high enough to warrant a futures play on the current champions this season.<\/p>\n

Juventus And Inter Milan Look To Take Back Crown<\/h3>\n

Juventus upgraded in the off-season with both Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria heading to Turin ahead of the 2022\/23 season.<\/p>\n

Those acquisitions are definite boosts for the team, especially in the case of Paul Pogba who returns to the club after being selected for the Serie A team of the year between 2014 to 2016 while playing for the club in his first stint.<\/p>\n

However, Juventus will likely need that boost as they struggled down the back half of last season, ranking all the way down in 11th over the final eight games of the season and amassing just three total wins over that same period.<\/p>\n

Inter Milan meanwhile welcome back Romelu Lukaku and with 23 & 24 goals respectively to his name over his two previous seasons at the club, it\u2019s likely we see a quick return to form for the Belgian striker heading into this season.<\/p>\n

2022-23 Serie A Title Odds Prediction<\/h2>\n

We like Inter Milan to get back to winning ways this season and reclaim the crown they lost to AC Milan last year.<\/p>\n

Not only is Romelu Lukaku\u2019s return noteworthy, Inter also welcome in Joaquin Correra from Lazio also as their full forward line continues to get upgraded.<\/p>\n

In terms of data, despite being edged out by AC Milan last season in actual points, Inter were by far the better team of the two in expected points with a +7.88 expected points differential advantage over their city rivals last year and we expect them to show that gulf in performance ahead of this season.<\/p>\n

While Juventus will always present a threat, at odds of +175, Inter Milan are the team to take to lift the Serie A title this season.<\/p>\n
