Both men are attempting to make a championship run at lightweight, Dos Anjos looking to get back on top, while Fiziev has been climbing the ranks since joining the UFC in 2019.<\/p>\n

Rafael Dos Anjos has won back-to-back fights for the first time since 2017 and is looking to keep this momentum going. He’ll be hoping his high-level experience to go along with some of the most well-rounded MMA skills in the division can stop Fiziev on Saturday. This fight marks the 13th time Rafael Dos Anjos is an underdog inside the octagon, where he’s 5-7 in that spot.<\/p>\n

Rafael Fiziev brings decades of Muay Thai experience with him into this matchup as he’s transitioned smoothly into the sport of MMA. Fiziev offers some of the most technical offensive striking in the division as he’s landed 5.35 significant strikes per minute inside the octagon.<\/p>\n

There are so many unknowns about Fiziev in this matchup regarding his wrestling, ground game, and five-round cardio. All of those questions will be answered Saturday night against dos Anjos.<\/p>\n

The game plan for Fiziev is simple in this matchup as he’ll look to strike for the entirety of the fight and use his world-class Muay Thai and Kickboxing skills to get the better of his opponent.<\/p>\n

Rafael ‘RDA’ Dos Anjos<\/h3>\n

Rafael Dos Anjos is a UFC veteran, having been in the promotion since 2008 and having reached the pinnacle of the sport as a world champion. He hasn’t been finished since losing his championship to Eddie Alvarez in 2016. Dos Anjos had also gone through tough times in the UFC; when Dos Anjos moved up to Welterweight for a phase, he had lost four of five fights at one point as fans tried to retire him.<\/p>\n

Dos Anjos offers all the skills needed to compete at the highest level as his striking is excellent to go along with some world-class BJJ and some good wrestling skills. The longer this fight goes, the better it is for the chances of Dos Anjos. He’ll need an outstanding performance to pull off this upset.<\/p>\n

This fight comes down to the unknown and potential of Fiziev against the known commodity in Rafael Dos Anjos, who’s 12-3 in his last 15 at lightweight with all losses against champions.
