Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Wilson Contreras (+320)<\/h2>\n

Wilson Contreras is coming off a big 3-RBI game against the Cardinals in which the Cubs won in extra innings on Sunday. Tonight the Cubs start a series with the Reds in Chicago and Luis Castillo takes the mound for Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

Contreras has posted solid numbers against Castillo going 7-15 in his career with a home run. He\u2019s hit 12 home runs this season, seven of which coming in Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n

An unusual stat about Contreras is that five of his 12 home runs have come on the first pitch of an at-bat. So don\u2019t be surprised to see Contreras get aggressive early and often in his at-bats as his batting average trends downwards with every pitch of an at-bat. He\u2019s been hitting in the top three of the batting order as well maximizing the amount of at-bats he could see on any given night.<\/p>\n

Castillo has pitched once against the Cubs already this season going five innings and allowing two earned runs.<\/p>\n

Contreras is listed at +320 to smack a home run out of Wrigley Field tonight but other Cubs hitters to consider are Ian Happ (+450)<\/strong> who is 8-22 with a home run against Castillo and Jason Hayward (+650)<\/strong> who is 8-24 with two home runs against him.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Chris Taylor (+380)<\/h2>\n

The Dodgers are coming off an uncharacteristic shutout loss to the Rockies as they were coming off a hard fought series win in Atlanta over the weekend.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t see anywhere near the same thing happening tonight with Kyle Freeland taking the mound for Colorado posting a 5.32 ERA in home starts and allowing five home runs in 45.2 innings pitched at home as well.<\/p>\n

Chris Taylor has had moderate success against Freeland going 7-26 all-time against him with two home runs. He hit 20 home runs in 2021 and is behind that pace so far this season with only six.<\/p>\n

His last home run was way back on June 3 and he\u2019s due to hit another soon. Colorado\u2019s bullpen has the third highest ERA in the MLB and Taylor has a home run off Rockies reliever Ty Blach as well. Get Taylor at +380 but other Dodgers to consider in this great matchup are Will Smith (+340) and Trea Turner (+380).<\/p>\n
